Hardcore Computer®, Inc. Showcases Its Total Liquid Submersion Technology for High-Performance Computing to International Audience of IT Professionals
Attendees of SC11 to experience firsthand how total liquid submersion cooling is transforming data centers and workplace computing
Rochester, MN (October 17, 2011) – Hardcore Computer, Inc. (www.hardcorecomputer.com) will showcase the latest achievements in total liquid submersion cooling technology at the 24th annual Supercomputing 2011 (SC11) conference.
SC11 is the leading international conference on high-performance computing, networking, storage and analysis to be held November 12-18 at the Washington State Convention and Trade Center in Seattle.
Hardcore Computer custom designs and manufactures top-tier, high-performance computer systems using its patented total liquid submersion cooling technology to remove heat, the greatest limiting factor of electronics performance. The company’s SC11 exhibit will feature its LSS™ 200 liquid submersion servers and Detonator™ workstations, two of Hardcore’s liquid cooled computing products for the HPC market. Both of these products will demonstrate their industry-topping performance at booth number 5707 (second floor).
About LSS 200:
Hardcore Computer’s liquid submersion server is the world’s first patented rack-mounted solution whose internal components are fully submerged in a dielectric liquid named Core Coolant™. LSS systems mount directly into rack units, connecting to the Core Coolant exchange system via dripless quick-connect fittings. This exchange system allows dielectric liquid to be pumped through the entire data center, improving performance and efficiency by cooling all components more effectively and vectoring heat outside the data center, virtually eliminating the need for air conditioning and air moving equipment inside the data center.
LSS 200 systems are filled with Core Coolant, a dielectric liquid that is non-conductive, non-volatile, biodegradable and has 1350 times better heat removal capacity by volume than air. Running cooler means running longer, more reliably and more efficiently. When compared to traditional data centers, LSS can reduce the energy costs to cool the data center by more than 80%, resulting in an overall cost savings potential of 40% or more. Additionally, a data center utilizing Hardcore Computer’s liquid submersion server will occupy 30% less space than an air-cooled solution.
About Detonator:
Purpose-built for professionals requiring industry-leading computational power and top-performing graphics rendering capabilities, Detonator was designed to be the ultimate workstation for applications including computer-aided design, medical imaging, digital content creation, engineering simulation and modeling, and real-time situational awareness. Detonator meets professionals’ demanding performance requirements with 24/7/365 reliability. Detonator was designed from the ground up to be a dream machine for the demanding professional.
“With our advanced total liquid submersion technology, we provide industry professionals with innovative, power efficient, top-performing liquid submerged servers, workstations and desktop computers that deliver performance, reliability and quality never seen before in the marketplace,” said Chad Attlesey, President, CTO and Founder, Hardcore Computer.
Demonstrations of Hardcore Computer’s HPC products can be seen in SC11 booth # 5707.
